My dear Vedanta devotees,
We have each found our way to Vedanta through our own unique path, perhaps getting inspired by books, or devotees, or monks and nuns, the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, Swami Vivekananda, their disciples, the disciples of their disciples, etc. Our life has been changed, and our deepened understanding of spirituality has enabled us to embrace all spiritual paths with love and respect. We are striving to reach Absolute Reality, each on our own path, through that manifestation of the Absolute which most appeals to us.
Swami Vivekananda came to the west in 1893, a shining exemplar of the Vedantic ideal, and a powerful messenger of the Vedantic truth. He bestowed upon us the responsibility to realize the truth in this very life, here and now.
The tree is known by its fruits. How the Vedanta movement is working in the world can be known by how many lives have been transformed, and how those lives have become blessings to themselves and to others.
