My name is  Deepak Kulkarni. Indeed, with the mercy of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna and a gush of emotions I write below my experiences with Vedanta. As Swami Sarvadevanandaji Maharaj in one of his lectures "How to Develop Love for God," aptly put it across, my experience with Vedanta started in March 2004 when I was of the age of 21 when I was bogged down with some problems in life which brought me to the feet of the Master which was a blessing in disguise. It indeed is Faith in the right direction resulting from the mercy of the Master that brought me to Vedanta.

 

The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna attracted me to Vedanta in 2004 in Dharwad, Karnataka. In reality, it is the grace or mercy of the Master Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna which is the cause. Inscrutable are his ways to bring his devotees unto his Lotus Feet. 

 

Vedanta has taught me the true glorious nature of our own self, that which is beyond space and time. It has helped me experience that everything around me is ever changing but I am that glorious never changing Atman. Experience with Vedanta indeed cannot be put into words, Ah, it can only be experienced.

 

I have been initiated by His Holiness Srimat Swami Atamashtanandji Maharaj in March 2007 at the age of 24.

 

It would also be a great blessing to visit the Vedanta Society of Southern California at least once in this life. Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha,
